watching this show ms syazwani asked us to watch for history class; it has scenes from the 50s/60s. quite interesting actually - firsthand pictures/videos rather than recreations. not quite sure how [harbour] boat races link to singapore's 50s/60s govt but oh well XD it's actually pretty cool - seeing the harbour before all the reclamation and all that - it looks damn HUGE. omg it really was a tight-knit community back then. pappa is reminiscing XD *watching while typing*

i just watched the national day parade so i'm currently feeling very patriotic |D even though i didn't wear a shred of red/white today but oh well
they really went all out this year - the 6storeygrids were brilliant, and the performances very...colourful :D The way they 'tracked' Singapore's history through the music scene was awesome too - my mother had this nostalgic smile throughout most of it XD rather amusing, really.

the song for this year is WHAT DO YOU SEE by ELECTRICO; as ridiculously hey-i'm-trying-to-be-hip-now! that electrico's the band, it is a rather awkward song to sing to. when the teachers performed it (AS A BAND AHAHAHA) on friday it was pure awesome, though. mr toh (brilliant as a lead singer XD) was trying to get all of us to wave our hands to the beat, but we just jumped up and down and started shrieking, like the unnaturally enthu people we are :P

and it's so tragic that their (electrico's) keyboardist quit D: (lol forgot her name XD) and they BLENDED THE SONGS TOGETHER FOR THE NDP D| first it would be the beat of home and then it'd switch to something else - overall it was a nice change, but it still annoyed me XD and i got very very freaked out during the marching/parade segment, when the commander was shouting the commands - because my arms and legs started to twitch, as though they wanted to do the drills. *sigh* i could recognise which command meant what too... and i heard 2 RGS girls were in the parade - no idea if either is/are my senior though.

....there's no school tomorrow. good. no school. will update brotcg. and then cram for math/history/cl stuff on tuesday (if i cram today i'll forget. i swear)

i think i've died. or spontaneously combusted.
